A strong showing here as well, as fans crowded into one of Minnesota's great amateur ballparks for the annual Orth Foundation for children with disabilities benefit game. Just moments after the National Anthem was sung, a Life Link helicopter landed on the outfield and dropped off the evening's celebrity—former Twins relief pitcher Juan "Señor Smoke" Derringer. Got my photo taken with Juan—does it get any better?
Congratulations to the Mudhens! They were vying for the lead in most books sold at a ballpark—and they won. Over seventy books were sold on that beautiful afternoon. Congratulations to Miesville and thanks to all of the wonderful Mudhens fans for their support!
